Meet Susan Peery
Susan has 30 years of experience as an educator, including 12 years as an elementary principal in Judson and North East ISDs. She has an extensive history in early childhood literacy and education. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education/Early Childhood,has a Master's in Reading Education, and at Trinity University she earned a Master's in Education Administration.
Susan was named Teacher of the Year for Judson ISD in 2000. She also served as a literacy coach/specialist in Judson and Alamo Heights ISDs, and she has consulted many school districts in the area as a reading specialist. She served as an assistant principal and principal in Judson ISD and has been principal of El Dorado Elementary in NEISD for the past six years. She is President-Elect for the Texas Elementary Principal and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).
Known as a relationship-builder who has a passion and expertise in early childhood education and literacy, she will be the perfect fit for Howard Early Childhood Center and AHISD.
